Summer camps are underway.
AOK is leading four summer theatre camps at the Eichelberger for young performers ages 7-15. Each camp runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM-3 PM, and includes a Friday performance at 2 PM. Completed camps are marked below; registration for remaining camps is handled through the Eichelberger ticket links.
Disney's Finding Nemo KIDS Camp Completed

Campers learn songs and choreography, make props and crafts, and perform Finding Nemo KIDS for family and friends on the Eichelberger stage.
Broadway Bound Boot Camp
July 13-17 | $250
A musical theatre week with Broadway songs, production numbers, vocals, dance, and props, ending with a Friday performance.
Disney's Frozen KIDS Camp
July 27-31 | $250
Campers join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and friends for Frozen songs, choreography, props, crafts, and frozen-themed activities.
In remembrance
Drew Derreth
Acts of Kindness Theatre Company mourns the passing of our dear friend and fellow performer, Drew Derreth.
Drew brought warmth, humor, generosity, and heart to every rehearsal, performance, and cast he joined. AOK audiences will remember him as Henry Etches in Titanic, George Banks in Mary Poppins, and Joseph Pulitzer in Newsies.
The stage was brighter because of Drew. His laughter, artistry, kindness, and love of theatre will remain part of our company's story long after the final curtain.
Thank you, Drew, for sharing your remarkable gifts with us. May your final curtain call be met with endless applause.

Acts of Kindness Theatre Company remembers Chris Glatfelter with deep gratitude for her years of leadership, encouragement, and care for the arts in Adams County.
Chris helped create room for artists, students, volunteers, and community groups to gather and make meaningful work. We are honored to carry a little of that spirit forward every time this community comes together for a show.

AOK gives local performers, musicians, dancers, designers, crew members, and volunteers a place to stretch their skills close to home. Each production creates room for experienced artists, returning alumni, new faces, and families who want to help make something memorable together.

From the beginning, the company has paired performance with purpose. Ticket sales, sponsorships, and volunteer energy help support productions that bring people together while giving back to organizations and causes throughout Hanover and Adams County.

Beauty and the Beast The enchanted Disney classic opened AOK's story while supporting Hanover Community Players and The Adams County Arts Council.
2006
Seussical Dr. Seuss's bright, musical world supported Hanover Public Library's Youth Services Division and The Adams County Arts Council.
2007
Titanic The sweeping 2007 musical told a story of hope, ambition, and lives changed aboard the legendary ship.
2008
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory The classic candy-factory story brought imagination, mischief, and golden-ticket magic to the stage.
2009
Peter Pan Neverland arrived in 2009 with pirates, lost boys, and a storybook sense of adventure.
2010
The Wizard of Oz The company followed the yellow brick road with this beloved family musical.
2011
Cats Andrew Lloyd Webber's ensemble musical brought movement, character, and spectacle into the spotlight.
2012
Hairspray The high-energy musical comedy filled the Eichelberger stage with big hair, bigger heart, and 1960s sparkle.
2013
Shrek the Musical This fairy-tale adventure mixed familiar characters, offbeat comedy, and a big comic heart.
2014
Tarzan Disney's jungle musical came to life with music, movement, and adventure.
2015
Mary Poppins The classic Disney and Cameron Mackintosh musical added a practically perfect chapter to the archive.
2016
The Little Mermaid Ariel, Sebastian, and the world under the sea made their way to the Eichelberger.
2017
Beauty and the Beast The tale as old as time returned with a new production.
2018
Newsies The high-energy story of young newspaper sellers brought grit, heart, and rallying cries to the stage.
2019
The Addams Family This delightfully spooky musical comedy came to the Eichelberger stage.
2021
The SpongeBob Musical Summer theatre returned to the Eichelberger after the pandemic shutdown period.
2022
Young Frankenstein Mel Brooks' musical comedy brought madcap laboratory laughs to the stage.
2023
Descendants Disney's next generation of classic characters took center stage.

The AOK Players
The AOK Players brought stories to life for kids.
Acts of Kindness founded the AOK Players in 2005. The group was made up of high school students and performers who were passionate about acting and storytelling.
They took popular children's books, read the stories aloud, and turned them into short skits with improvised scenes, playful characters, and room for the audience to imagine along.
Some early performances happened outside the Eichelberger under the old oak tree, when the group was known as the Eichelberger Children's Troupe. The AOK Players also performed at Guthrie Memorial Library, schools, community events, and theatre spaces across Hanover and Adams County.
Each player had a signature color: shirt, overalls, and matching Chucks. Members changed over time, but that bright, storybook spirit stayed with the group.

Could it return?
The AOK Players are not currently active, but the spirit is still there if enough young performers are ready to bring it back.
